ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries.

About the Job

We are looking for a highly professional and skilled Compensation & Benefits Specialist. Are you  detail-oriented and analytical? Do you thrive in an international and future thinking organisation? If yes, ENTSO-E is the right place for you.

You will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels and be part of the People, Talent & Culture section, reporting directly to the Compensation & Benefits Manager. The People, Talent & Culture section is comprised of 10 internal and external staff.

  • Lead compensation and benefits projects from design to implementation with strong stakeholder and change management.

  • Prepare clear reports and presentations on workforce data and compensation and benefits topics.

  • Develop, implement and maintain policies for salaries, bonuses, cafeteria plan, insurances and other benefits.

  • Oversee cafeteria plan participation for all employees and ensure transparent communication.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations on compensation and benefits, monitoring new legislation and applying changes.

  • Communicate effectively with employees, managers and stakeholders about programs, policies, and practices.

  • Implement, administer and maintain the rewards policy, ensuring consistent application across the organization.

  • Collaborate with People, Talent & Culture to align HR policies with recruitment, L&D and well-being strategies.

  • Manage daily administration of benefit plans in collaboration with brokers.

  • Evaluate current practices, propose improvements and apply innovative, hands-on problem-solving approaches.

  • Oversee resource planning for the Secretariat and manage TSO contribution processes.

  • Conduct detailed compensation and benefits analysis for year-end review, HR budget and resource planning.

  • Perform external and internal benchmarking to align strategy with Association goals.

  • Act as contact point for employee questions on compensation and benefits, ensuring policy awareness.

  • Manage compensation and benefits communication channels including intranet, Viva Engage posts and emails.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Economics, Tax or equivalent with 5+ years’ Compensation & Benefits experience.

  • Solid knowledge and experience with the Belgian labour market, especially benefits.

  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail, numbers, and excellent analytical skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Macros); Power BI knowledge is an asset.

  • Proven project management skills with strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • High integrity, building trust through honesty and maintaining effective professional relationships.

  • Service-oriented mindset with commitment to delivering value in every task.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English plus French and/or Dutch.

  • Quick learner, adaptable to dynamic and changing work environments.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively under competing deadlines.

  • Proactive, results-driven, and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
